Great Product

April 25, 2025redheadclub · Review provided by aosmithatlowes.com5/5

We purchased this for a second home so that energy consumption would be less since we are not using it on a daily basis - no need to heat hot water when you are not home! We have no issues with flow or temperature. Depending on how far the water line is to the point of use, it can take quite a bit of time to get hot water, so I find that I am turning on cold water for more of my day-to-day needs in order to reduce the amount of water going down the drain. One other learning point - if you like to stop the water flow on the shower so you can shave, etc., make sure you step out of the water flow as it may be much cooler when you turn it back on as it has cooled in the water line and the unit may have shut down the heat process if it is in "stalled" mode too long. Overall, I like the unit and next time I need to replace a water heater in another home, I would opt for a tankless heater. If you purchase one, please make sure to take advantage of the Federal and possible state energy credits that come with this unit!!!
