Still working out the kinks is best way to describe:) After going through 3 tank heaters in 18 years we thoroughly researched and decided upon installing this highly rated AO Smith model tankless heater. We gave the job to our retired plumber's son who had recently taken over the business from his dad. He admitted he had done only a few tankless installs but we felt comfortable with him and he seemed confident in his ability to install successfully. Install went well after an 11-day delay in product availability and we are very pleased with its location, compact nature on the wall vs tank-heater, as well as temp and volume of hot water supply when in use. The problem we are having for several weeks off and on is a "111 error code" that shuts down the system occasionally that neither myself nor our plumber has been able to correct. Thankfully, it can be temporarily corrected by turning the unit off and on tom reset. This however does not guarantee the length of time it will stay in the operable mode supplying hot water. Sometimes it will operate properly for days and other times it may need to be reset 2 or more times within an hour, like this morning. My plumber and I are in the process of getting support from the AO Smith technicians at their 800# have been very helpful and I am hopeful and confident we will have the needed adjustments made soon.
