Get educated or don’t buy!!!
November 24, 2024 — Jojo666tarpon · Review provided by lowes.com — 1/5This little machine runs nicely for a little over a year. However, you need to read up on the maintenance of the unit. It suggests in the book that the anode rod needs to be looked at every year but it also states that it should last 2years. It should say mandatory change every year of this rod. Otherwise, your warranty is no good. There is no way you can predict when it will degrade and then your unit begins to leak and then it’s done. When I called about the unit, they send you a pdf on the anode rod because that is the loop hole that will void your warranty. If you are handy, then you may survive and enjoy hot water. Bosch needs to put a service indicator light on the unit. In order to change the rod, you will need to turn it off, drain, undue the front case, and pull the rod out and even if it looks ok, you best get a new one. Take pictures and date it.
