[Incentivized Review] Eco-Smart is SMART!

January 7, 2025Kim · Review provided by walmart.com5/5

Excellent...and lightning-quick shipment. I prior had a 5500-watt unit for a decade or longer, which was a workhorse. I loved it, and my electrical bills were SO low. My electric bill for winter, December 2024, was $78.34. But, during short Deep South cold spells, my showers were only tepid. This new unit fits the bill for my region. 11,000 watts was just right for my needs. It's a relatively easy install. The manufacturer has spectacular ratings and customer support. Just make sure you have a 6 AWG electrical wire for this unit and a double-pole 60-amp breaker. You cannot put it on the standard 10 AWG (black) wire used for a conventional hot water tank. And make double sure you run lots of water through it BEFORE turning the new heater on. Don't put the new unit on when it is in a "dry" state. Otherwise, I do not honestly understand why people are still reliant on the old-fashioned, clunky, expensive hot water tanks. If you do choose to transition to the electric tankless water heater, be sure to choose a well-known and well-respected brand like EcoSmart.
