Dependable Hot Water

March 29, 2023richandtd · Review provided by lowes.com5/5

I’m a 67 year old retired Navy Veteran our hot water tank started leaking so we removed it and cleaned up the mess. Planed on another tank heater but having the tank being heated all the time can get expensive so decided to try the electric tankless. After researching we decided on this one so ordered online downloaded the instructions on PDF and went to Lowe’s to get two 40 amp circuit breakers and 8/2 wire for the install. Planned on plastic pipe but decided to do copper and shark bite fittings watched a couple utube videos on the shark bite fittings and did the installation which took about 5 hours which doesn’t include the three trips to Lowe’s buying fittings and pipe. I mounted the heater to a 2’ by 2’ birch plywood that I stained and sealed. As per the instructions I ran lots of water through the heater to the kitchen and bathroom sinks ensuring all air bubbles were out of the system. Turned on the breakers then the heater and nice hot water. I keep the temperature at 120 for doing dishes and 108 after for hand washing or showers. We like it a lot.
