This heater was to replace a similar 3.0 heater that I had in far bathroom for years. This replacement 3.5 is phenomenal compared to the old one. It gets the water hotter and has increased volume with a 6.6 gpm flow versus the old 5.0 gpm flow. Now the bathroom sink actually has immediate hot water at a full flow rate..
